Steroids are Painful!

So I had the head cold to beat all head colds all Memorial Day weekend and still a bit of it today. I went to the doctor yesterday and was given a heaping shot of steroid (I don't know what is was called) to reduce the swelling of my sinus cavity.

Have you ever seen Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger? Have you seen this part?

Yep, that's how my nose felt. I couldn't stand the pain of all that sinus pressure being backed up in my nose, so I told them "sure! I'll take the steroid!"

Today, my nose no longer feels like it has a big red ball in it. I'm nearly back to normal in that regard...however...the steroid has now created a dull ache in my lower back around my tail bone. It's pretty excruciating, better than the nose pain, but not fun all the same.

So, it is my astute observation that steroids are, indeed, painful and I do not like them. I am grateful for the help they gave me during my time of "red ball in nose" pain, but I am not a fan.

Please pray (or keep me in your thoughts if you're not the praying type) that this pain will go away and that the nose pain will not return.

Have a fun head-cold-free day everyone!
