U.S. Mail

U.S. Mail

This is my mailbox.

I've had the privilege to receive three letters in this mail box recently, and that makes me so happy! Have a replied to them yet? Nope. Do I plan to reply...absolutely! In fact, I'm going to be replying to these letters tonight!

The art of letter writing is very important to me, but why? Why do I not just send emails like the majority of America? It's faster, more convenient, and free.

I've thought long and hard about why I write letters and have come up with a few answers to that question:

1. I love pens and paper! I've always had an obsession with office supplies, paper, notebooks, and pens. I enjoy fountain pens as well, which I get to use when I write letters. This is the perfect outlet for my little passions :)

2. Writing letters makes me enjoy a trip to the mailbox! Whether I'm putting a letter in or getting a letter out, the mailbox is an exciting place to go now

3. I get to see other individual's beautiful handwriting. My handwriting, I'd say, is mediocre, but readable. My pen pals have wonderful handwriting.

4. I have the opportunity to be creative with my letters. I make my own cards, use rubber stamps, and have fun cutting fancy edges with my edging scissors.

5. It's a hobby. I love having things that I'm passionate about, and letter writing is one of them!

So the next time you go to send an email, think twice and ask that person if you could send them a letter sometime. It will enrich your life and make you happy!

Tennis...Yay!

For mother's day my hubby got me a brand spankin' new tennis racket and two cans of tennis balls! I was not expecting this gift at all seeing as how I don't play tennis....

well I should say didn't play tennis, because now I do and I love it! It's one my newest hobbies along with writing letters. We went and joined a local athletic club so we'll always have somewhere to play. This club is awesome in it's own right aside from the tennis courts.

They have over 112 workout classes, free weights, cardio, a running track, and a pool. We're going to start playing tennis every evening and I'm going to get up and go to bodypump every morning at 5:45! I'm not morning person though, so we'll see how that goes.

I do have a goal in mind for all of this too! I want to lose 20 pounds and get back to my pre-baby weight of 145. Wish me luck!
